About Us
Lincolnshire has a fine heritage of producing a wealth of quality food and drink. Lincolnshire’s produce, however, has mainly gone unrecognised. The Lincolnshire Forum for Agriculture and Horticulture - a Lincolnshire County Council partnership between the private and public sector - identified a need for a Lincolnshire generic brand to maximise the marketing potential of Lincolnshire produce and services.
Following a major consultation process, a new brand marque Select Lincolnshire was developed. Agreed with the industry, Lincolnshire County Council is supporting its development and implementation over a 3 year period from April 2006 to March 2009.
Select Lincolnshire's marketing strategy focuses on:

Building momentum and involvement with the brand amongst all stakeholders by increasing awareness and understanding of the benefits and the opportunities for competitive advantage

Demonstrating that the brand can bring economic benefit to the sector and to the County by increased or higher value sales and safeguarding and creating jobs

Getting users on board across the food, agriculture, horticulture and food chain related industries within the Greater Lincolnshire area

Concentrating on awareness raising activities through a PR and media campaign which centres on local, regional and national events
